

{"id":41387,"date":"2021-06-19T18:47:23","date_gmt":"2021-06-19T16:47:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/actitudescoaching.com\/?p=41387"},"modified":"2023-07-05T15:30:50","modified_gmt":"2023-07-05T13:30:50","slug":"sustainability-and-human-challenges-in-organizations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/actitudes.ch\/en\/durabilite-et-defis-humains-dans-les-organisations\/","title":{"rendered":"Human challenges related to sustainability by 2030"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Review of the webinar \u00abSustainability @ HR Vaud\u00bb of June 15, 2021<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This conference, broadcast live from the Lausanne Palace, was co-hosted by the members of the Sustainability commission of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hr-vaud.ch\/\">HR Vaud<\/a>&nbsp;:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/karine-lammle-2625092\/?originalSubdomain=ch\">Karine Lammle<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/anthony-sorlin-65216b1a\/\">Anthony Sorlin<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/guy-zehnder\/\">Guy Zehnder<\/a>. Gathered in a round table format,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/isabellechappuis\/\">Isabelle Chappuis<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 Executive Director of the Futures Lab at HEC Lausanne \u2013 The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/fredericmeuwly\/\">Frederic Meuwly<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 Founder &amp; Director of Actitudes Coaching \u2013 discussed human challenges within organizations by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What human challenges should we prepare for by 2030: whether for teams, at the organizational level, or on an individual basis?<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The profound changes we have been experiencing for several years will continue to induce major transformations by 2030. Digitalization, robotization, human-machine collaboration, artificial intelligence, and the HR function will be called upon to play a key role in supporting these evolutions as the manager of human capital, whether physical and\/or virtual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Challenges for teams<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Teams as we know them today will transform to integrate&nbsp;<strong>new forms of human-machine collaborations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>complementarity between humans and machines<\/strong>&nbsp;will create in future teams new modes of communication, new interdependencies, and new dynamics that will become more complex to manage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As&nbsp;<strong>machines will progressively become full members of our work teams<\/strong>, it will be up to the HR function to support the resistance and fears related to these changes so that we can accept being augmented and working in interdependence with new types of \u00ab&nbsp;<strong>digital colleagues<\/strong>\u00ab .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Challenges at the organizational level<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Organizations will recurrently face&nbsp;<strong>successive shocks<\/strong>&nbsp;and will need to demonstrate resilience to be able to cope, adapt, and be sustainable. HR will therefore need to<strong>&nbsp;prepare human capital to transition and proactively develop resilience capacity<\/strong>&nbsp;within the organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To better manage uncertainty and complexity, organizations will need to develop new skills to know how to use&nbsp;<strong>new prospective tools.<\/strong>&nbsp;These working methodologies will gain importance because they will make it possible to \u00abfill the void\u00bb and mobilize teams around \u00abinspiring\u00bb scenarios rather than letting people imagine the worst and create \u00abdisaster scenarios\u00bb.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complexity and uncertainty are also a source of a certain form of \u2019<strong>organizational anxiety<\/strong>\u00ab. To avoid falling into this trap, HR must work to create a climate of psychological safety within their organization, which will allow them to think about the future with hope and project themselves confidently towards the future.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be sustainable, organizations must combine the ability to manage both the&nbsp;<strong>long term (sustainability) and the short term (agility)<\/strong>.
