Sharing an inspirational leader
A look back at the MeetUp on May 26, 2025, during which we had the chance to listen to Yoan Mollier's fascinating sharing of his memory work around the question of:
"How can we adapt management to ensure performance and sustainability for the teams of the City of Neuchâtel's Protection and Security Department while meeting future challenges and the specific requirements of the professions?"
Our objectives:
- Assess the current perception of management
- Propose management methods adapted to current and future needs
- Strengthen the quality of SPS services and reputation
And for theoretical framework the 18 drivers for sustainable, high-performance teamsas tools:
- measurement and evaluation
- improvement
During this MeetUp, the group present was invited to reflect in sub-groups on the question of how to support a cultural transformation of this type within an organization. Here are just a few of the ideas that emerged:
- Changing a corporate culture is a gradual process, and everyone at every level needs to play a part.
- Consider the "time factor" in this type of transformation
- Monitor the change to enable the group to see how it is evolving. Have relevant indicators for this, and a sponsor throughout the project.
- If we want to empower individuals > we need to share information.
- The need to develop Leaders within this type of organization, who are used to "commanding", and teach them how to "manage".
- Enable these Leaders to adopt "Situational Leadership" and learn to navigate harmoniously between a "Command Posture" and a "Management Posture", depending on the moment and the situation.
- "Not everything can come from the top, not everything can come from the bottom".
